The end of the Romans
04 Oct 2024
We've finished off our topic on the Romans and learnt about how the Empire became too big and the Romans left Britain in 410AD. We've been considering what the biggest Roman legacies were - some thought Christainity being introduced, others our road network while others thought their legal system, law and order. We had to convince some cat lovers that ,yes, while they did introduce cats to Britain, these prehaps aren't their defining legacies!
We had to create our 'diamond 9' by selecting the top legacies and placing them in a diamond, with the top legacy at the top of the diamond.
Here's what some of us chose. We then had to debate to try and persuade one another that our top choice was correct by using evidence and examples for how we'd been impacted by the invasion. That helped knock a few 'introduction of cats' off the top spots.
