Good morning class 4 
First off, a friend sent me one of those annoying 'can you find' challenges. There is a cat hidden in this picture somewhere. Well, I searched and searched and eventually found it. I asked Mrs Breckon and she found it much quicker. Can you find the cat hidden in this picture?

Yesterday we looked at using time tables and tide times. The page after is so similiar that I've decided we'll skip it. So find the last page in your packs. It should be page 25 for group 1 and page 27 for group 2. It's called Time Tables 2.
Can you see the table with lots of cities listed? This is a train time table. Trains will be starting at Newcastle and calling at different places before arriving in Liverpool.
Next to the cities going right are the times they'll be at each place. So Newcastle has 4 trains which will be setting off from it. What's the latest time you can leave Newcastle on the time table?
Now did you say 11:31 or 14:02.
Is there a train leaving Newcastle at 11:31? No, if you said that you're looking the wrong way - that's what time the first train from Newcastle arrives at Liverpool.
The latest train from Newcastle is 14:02.
Can you see some boxes with a - in it? That means no train will be calling there during that journey. Of course Leeds has no missed visits - too many fans want to get off there. 
So we're going to be using the timetable to find how long journeys will take.
If I arrive at Newcastle at 9am, how long would I have to wait until I can get the train?
Well, let's look at the Newcastle row of train times. The 8:15 will have already gone so the next one I can get is the 9:53 so I'd have to wait 53 minutes.
Once I got that 09:53 train, how long would it take to get to Manchester? It arrives in Manchester at 12:30 so how long did that take? I'm using to draw a number line and find the difference.
Read the questions, carefully look at which times you're finding the difference between and then use the same method I did to calculate the difference.

Firstly it's spelling test day - Ask a parent to test you when they have a spare moment.
Today I would like you to write me a postcard. It's been a while since I've heard from you and it would be lovely to hear about some of the other things you've been doing rather than just work-related stuff.
Tell me about any news you have, interesting things you've done, whether you've learnt any new skills or tried new activities or about your VE celebrations and in general how you're finding Lockdown.
There is one rule though. Your post card must contain a semi-colon sentence.
semi-colons are easy; you just need to not use conjunctions

Afternoon activity.
How are your bug hotels getting on? There must be all sorts of creepy crawlies in there now. Esme went one step further and added on a swimming pool (or garden pond - I think I suggested that task a while ago) here it is... How cool is that, even ducks have checked into it despite having an enormous pond only a few metres away.

This weekend I'd like you to start this competition. We're going to play bingo but not any ordinary game of bingo; a wildlife bingo. Now your gardens must be teeming with wildlife and I'd like to see who will be first to complete their bingo chart
Download the bingo chart and when you see something on the list put a date under it. When it says a rabbit, it can't be a pet one! I've bought some random animal-themed cards and I will send one to the winner and it might have a small, edible treat inside too but your parents have to be able to confirm your sightings - espcially the animal shaped cloud! It does have to be animal shaped - not "It looks like a ran-over badger" etc. So I want a picture of that to qualify as a winner along with a confirmed message from your parent(s). First one to reach me wins!
