Year six leavers treat and a planetarium visit

14 Jul 2022

On Tuesday we were invited to try out Lime-Tree Farm's latest installment - a planetarium. It's brand new and they wanted an audience and we were only too willing to oblige.

We learnt about the wonders of Space and how the constellations appear at different times of year. We also experienced a rocket launch into space. Needless to say, we were very grateful for the opportunity especially as this was one of the topics which we couldn't cover in the same detail during the pandemic.

Wednesday we went to Ripley Castle for the year 6 leavers treat. It was an absolute scorching day so it made for excellent conditions for some paddleboarding. We first tried out the equipment.

We soon got the hang of it and managed to maneuver ourselves around the lake.

Naturally, being such a hot day, we had to cool ourselves down with a refreshing ice cream wink

In the afternoon we all went zorbing - which being baking hot, felt like being in a mini green house so we had short bursts in groups where we could all run about and charge at one another. I wasn't able to pass up on the opportunity to resist bowling the year six over so had great fun with that and was only knocked off my feet by one of them angry so dignity was largely maintained.

Year six were great fun, as always, and we all had a super day. Here's to one last week together as class 4 2022 - I am sure it will be as eventful as the whole year has been!
