Friday 22nd
21 Oct 2021
Good morning
Today we're telling the Halloween stories we've written.
We normally do guided reading on Fridays and there's too many of you without copies of the book and there's too many pages to load up on here so I guess that means.....
I'll just have to find a different comprehension for you to have a go at. Didn't want you feeling upset you'd missed out! Download this below, it's about the history of Halloween
You'll need pages 1 and 2 and then if you're year 5 then page 3
and if your year 6 then page 5

Download this co-ordinate activity and print pages 1, 2, 3 or 4. (You can do more if you like) Don't look beyond those as they're the answer pages and that would spoil all the fun.

To end with, you'll need the OS map from yesterday. See if you can follow my clues to find the treasure. Email in with your final answers to earn the dojo.
(The river Burn is of course marked in blue and will have the name of the river (hint - look North)
Can you now make your own map. Choose somewhere to hide your treasure. Find a good starting point and write at least 5 steps for someone to follow in order to find it.
