Welcome to Class 4's page :-)
We are a proud and enthusiastic bunch! Our class is an exciting place to learn where we believe in ourselves, learn and flourish to ready ourselves for secondary school and beyond. As the eldest members of school, Class Four are seen as very important role models and are given more responsibilities to exercise these. We set ourselves high expectations and work as a team to achieve, through greater independence, co-operation and perseverance.

Reading
We use the Accelerated Reader scheme, where all books are allocated a ZPD score based on their complexity and vocabulary. Children take half-termly assessments to continually assess they're reading at the right level. After an assessment, children are given a reading range and must stick to the books which fall within those, moving up or down a tenth of a point depending the score in a quiz, taken after a book has been completed. Please encourage your child to read often and help foster the love of reading through engagement.
