I noticed that 'My Maths' had a lesson on rounding so I thought we'd give that a go. Remember you must do the lesson first and then the questions after it. It tells me how you got on so I can decide whether we need to do more or not.

Today you're going to try column C of page 2. Hopefully you didn't find B too tough.
Firstly here are the answers to yesterday's puzzles
A) 1.1 B)0.9 C)0.9 D)0.6 E)0.4 F)1.3 G)0.8 H)1.1 I)1.2 J)2.1 K)1.7
So today you have a 'magic square' All the rows, columns and diagonals must make the same total when added. So in question one I can see a full diagonal has been done.
0.6 + 0.9 + 1.2 = 2.7
So they'll all need to make that total.
The next easiest place to start might be the bottom right.
0.7 + 1.2 + ___ = 2.7
so that would have to be 0.8 and so on.

I want to do one last lesson on apostrophes.
By now we should be comfortable when we use them and why.
The only other common error is when plurals are involved. Plurals mean more than one E.G cars, chairs, clouds etc.
And the issue is when showing possession with plurals.
So if something belongs to one person/thing then that's easy...
Richard's sheep.
They belong to him so I've shown it with a possessive apostrophe.
BUT
If they belonged to his brother too then I might say the boys sheep.
You might think you'd just do this: The boy's sheep.
But that's not correct. Boys already ended in an S because it was plural so you'd need to add it afterwards.
The Boys' sheep.
You add an apostrophe after an S when the S was already there.
So here's my sentence; it's about two cats.
The cats dinner was tuna and jelly.
So who owns what in that sentence? The cats own their dinner. I'll need an apostrophe to show that.
As there's two of them, it'll need to go after the S.
The cats' dinner was tuna and jelly.
So in English packs find page 17.
You need to decide whether each sentence is showing plural possession or singular.
If it's plural (more than one) then you'll need to add an apostrophe after the S
If it's singular you'll need to add an apostrophe before the S
Sometimes the S hasn't been included so you may have to add it in too.
Please do the bottom bit. Write a sentence where some girls own something.
When you've done, do page 18 too.
That's asking you to rewrite the sentence to show plural possession. Don't forget the apostrophe - that's the point of the task.
Example - The sheep belonged to the boys > > > The boys' sheep.

History!
Wahoo, I love the live history lessons and it seems ever so strange seeing your names whiz past on the comments screen. Sadly, I think this may be their last one. It's about Dover (where I was born ) and how the castle was used in World War 2. Dover is about as close to mainland Europe as you can get in the UK and so we worried about an attack reaching there.
