Wahoo - the SATs are over! We've been so proud of the year six and the way they've focused this week. They've worked extremely hard and are glad to have them done with.
We've been having a bit of fun with our pie charts in maths, asking silly questions to generate data like 'who is most likely to be famous when they're older and whose going to be the first to make a million pounds' etc. Here we are collecting the data and then creating pie charts to show our answers. We had to calculate the proportion of a 360' circle our answers would need to be within the pie charts and then used a protractor to measure and draw it. We've been looking at the 'Day of the Dead' festival in Mexico where they celebrate the lives of loved ones no longer with us and often decorate ornamental skulls in bright and vibrant colours. We've designed our own paper-mache skull and painted the base coat. We then added the decorations And here's our finished class set - Have a nice weekend s
