Welcome back

Welcome to class four!
I hope everyone had a fantastic summer holiday. We all enjoyed being back together and sharing our stories of our summer adventures.
What a busy week we've all had, both in school and out! It's been lovely getting to know the new class four.
We're going to be spending a lot of time together, and learning together and know that we, as a team, are our best asset so wo started with some team work challenges, which involved cooperation, communication and planning. We talked about what made for good team work and followed this approach to our challenge.
Here we are putting those skills into practice, which involved us only using paper clips to handle a jellysnake and attach a rubber ring (haribo sweet) to it, without dropping it. It really did require careful hands, discussion and cooperation to do.
We have also began our topic on the Romans by focusing this week on what Pre-Roman Britain was like. We will be going on a trip to Lime Tree Farm to see their iron-age roundhouse and take part in Celtic crafts. Please wear outdoor footwear and bring a jacket and water bottle. We'll be leaving for 12:30 and back for 3:30.
Finally, after the very sad news of the passing of our Monarch, Queen Elizabeth, I thought it would be nice to reflect on the fantastic coronation re-enactment we put on to mark her 70th jubilee only last June. May she rest in peace.
