Dragons and mythical creatures

This week we have been focusing on fictional writing, focusing on dragon descriptions to draw out creative language and sentence structure. We've looked at lots of pictures of dragons and identified what makes them menacing.
We've then written descriptions of them and are now designing our own before moving onto producing factfiles on them using techniques to interest the reader.

We've also spent time researching Henry VIII and learning about his marriages. Why did he marry so many times? We've found out that it was because of his determination to marry that he split with the Catholic church. It's been fascinating to find out so much about him and discover some of the reasons behind such famous events in history.
