Good morning class 4 
I hope you all had a great weekend. Thanks for all your postcards. You all seem to be having similiar experiences and I think we're very lucky to have had such good weather or it could have been very different. I love this little sketch of a familiar place.... do you recognise it?
In other news we've got the last images of the castles and planets from you - Again great effort guys and it's a shame I can't award dojos or merits but well done for making the effort.
The picture below reminds me of that song "He's got the whole world in his hands'
Also the snails booked the honeymoon suite at this Bug hotel. Pure luxury.
Lockdown has brought some benefits; her guinea pigs have had a mansion built. I think he/she (?) would love a visit to the guinea-pig art museum we showed a few weeks back.

The good news is we finished our maths packs, wahoo! The even better news is Miss Blake kindly brought around another I'd prepared for you. The first page should be about rounding.
Group 1
When rounding you're looking at saying the number in an easier way. For example Richard has 387 sheep in his field. That's quiet a hard number to have to remember and in any case, does it really matter? So I'll round it to the nearest hundred. 383 is inbetween 300 and 400. Half way would be 350. So 387 would round up to 400. Richard roughly has 400 sheep in his field.
You can round to any place value and today you're going to be rounding to the nearest whole number.
So let's take 3.14 - that's a decimal number, right? What two whole numbers is it inbetween?
It's between 3 and 4 isn't it?
Now where do you think 3.14 would be on that number line? The first thing to do is think what would half way be? What's halfway inbetween 3 and 4?
3.5 is halfway.
3.14 is definitely lower than 3.5 and that has 5 tenths and 3.14 only has one.

You have some rounding problems where you'll have to do some calculations first to find a total before then deciding to round that total up or down.

Today we're going to be doing some work on apostrophes. Did you know that apostrophes are THE MOST misused punctuation mark ever! It's true. And once you know about it, it's annoying to see them misused. Basically people just add them onto words which happen to end in an 'S'
But there's no need.
You only need apostrophes for two reasons.
One - When letters are missing because two words have been contracted together like - didn't
Two - When you're showing possession like Spencer's snail garden.
There are even some people who take it to the next level and go and correct other people's mistakes they find on shop windows. Watch this video clip from BBC news.

Afternoon activity.
This may or may not be possible, depending what you have at home so it's optional but I've seen on my walks that there are a lot of painted rocks around. They do brighten the streets up and many of them have messages of support on or encouraging pictures. If you have paint around perhaps you could paint some smooth rocks/stone and place them around your local area or garden. Here are some examples
