Rounders and more

This week has been a particluarly busy one; we began the week studying shape and area through practical maths, which involved a steady hand and careful measuring to ensure accuracy.
We then had great fun practicing battle tactics based on Celtic Britain using our hand-made shields and began to compare them to the Roman's battle style. The Celts were famous for being ferocious in battle; an element we felt didn't need too much working on.
On Thursday afternoon we were able to take part in a rounders tournament at Bishop Monkton. Everyone had a fantastic time and worked well as a team. Despite tough competition and there being just a few points in it, we won 2/4 matches.
