Studying land use

This week we have continued our map work and we have been looking at land use, and how the countryside is different to towns and cities. We used Google Earth to look up some of the large cities so we could have a closer look and explore of more built up areas. The children were amazed at some of the things they found and had a great time drawing their own sketch maps to show what they had discovered in different places. They were especially amazed at how big places like London were compared to Grewelthorpe!
