Cakes and creatures

18 Mar 2022

This week we're going to start our update by talking about an event which I'm sure was very popular with everyone - our bake sale! We have some very kind and caring people in our school and one pupil decided that they wanted to do something to help the people of the Ukraine after seeing what was happening in the world. They decided that they would set up a cake sale and raise some money to help. After sending out a request for donations we were amazed to see how kind everyone in school was and I don't think we've ever seen so many tasty treats in our lives! The sale was a huge success and it raised over £430 pounds! We'd like to give a huge thank you to everyone who donated and helped to run the stalls, and especially to the amazing young lady who came up with the idea.

There a quite a few empty trays in the picture, I think this was just after Mr B had been to buy his many cakes. wink

We have also had some lovely weather at last and we have been able to make the most of it and get outside for some of our lessons. In science we have been looking at animals and their habitats, and what living things need to survive. We also looked at how humankind can have an impact on nature too. We sometimes think that humans only damage the world, but we thought about how humans can help too. Have a look in the pictures, I wonder if you can spot any ways that we have tried to help the local wildlife?
