Maths - division (today we are going to carry on working on our division skills).
This is the evidence I would like you to send me on Teams today, please. I will put up a question sheet for you to write your answers on.

English - BFG topic - looking at synonyms.

Reading - 30 mins of reading (AR if you can, please)

Topic -  PE

Teams call -               10:30 = yr 3        10:45 = yr 4 (Please start with your microphone on mute)

Don't worry yr 3s, I've got my emergency, emergency, emergency, emergency speakers on the go and they work a treat now so I can hear you. I tested them out by playing my Elvis collection and they were fine. yes

Don't forget that if you need to get in contact my email is mrgamble@gfschools.co.uk  or you can now contact me on your private Teams chat!

PS - I have hidden a surprise video on the website. Somewhere there is a secret video link. I wonder if you can find it?

Clue - I wonder "owl" you know where to click?

I thought I'd start off with some of the beautiful art you have sent in from your forest school and Monet activities. They really are beautiful and look amazing!

This week we have been working very hard on our division and solving lots of problems. Today I would like you to go back to your Maths No Problem books and record the answers in there. When you have done that please put your answers on Teams for today's evidence. The good news is the Maths No Problem looks a bit more straight forward than the other sheets.

I've linked some of the videos we have looked at this week to give you a reminder how to solve the problems.

Tomorrow we will have a bit of a change and do our times tables work. yes

I was just thinking... Do you know what's odd? Any number you can't divide by two. (Sorry, rubbish maths joke of the day!)

For our English work we will continue with our BFG theme and today you will be learning all about synonyms (words that mean the same thing as each other). This is a really good way to help you improve your writing and will help you to make it sound really interesting for the reader.

Have a look at the video below to find out more...

To develop a rich understanding of words associated with night time (thenational.academy)

When you have done that check out the PowerPoint below and take the mini quiz.

I've also included a cool little colouring sheet you might want to do. I've link the pdf so you can print out if you would like to.

All these little monsters remind me of the children... obviously not you lot though. I er, mean some other children that look like monsters! Honest!

READING

It is time to do our AR reading again. I can see that the flowers are filling up very nicely, well done! You can log in using the link below if you are ready to take your next quiz. Your username and password are the same as the ones you use for Sumdog.

Welcome to Renaissance Place (renlearn.co.uk)

(This is our school portal so it might be worth book marking)

PE

- I know how active you are and how much you enjoy your PE. We now have some daily challenges for you to try on one wesite. Click on the link to try today's

Art Challenge!

For your final lesson we have something a bit different to do. I was sent a challenge through from the person in charge of PE for the Harrogate area. It is to design an Olympic mascot and thought you might like to take part because you are such great artists. All of the instructions you need are on the link below. If you would like to enter in the real competition then please check with a grown up if that is ok. If you do enter, please send it straight to the address on the form and not to me.

The deadline is a little way off but I thought it would give you plenty of time if we did it today.

Have fun and I can't wait to see your designs! If you want to send them to me via your Teams chat please do.
