Class 3 - Y3/4 Class News

This week we have been creating castles for our Design and Technology topic. We had to create a castle that could keep the defenders safe from an attack by a fearsome monster! The children spent the first few lessons looking at the features of different castles and then drew their own versions. The best (and messiest!!) part was building the structures though, and the children loved creating the castles themselves. 

 
 
 
 There was a lot of trial and error and the children had to work out how to change and adapt their designs as they went, but this was all part of the fun and they really enjoyed the challenge of making their designs come to life.

 
 
 
 
 
To finish off we added some bits of decoration, and I'm sure you'll agree that the castles look amazing!!!
