Exploring the world

This week we have been exploring the world and finding out all about the different continents. We then looked at Europe in more detail and tried to identify the different countries and mark on their capital cities.
The children loved using the atlases to find out about different places, and we had a great time thinking about the different countries and seeing what each one was like. We even used Google Earth to swoop down to street level and look at the capital cities themselves.
As if all that wasn't enough, we then marked on some of the famous landmarks as well. After all that work I think we need a holiday, but at least now we know some great places to go!
