Science Rocks!

Another week has flown by and again Class 3 have been working their socks off. We have started our new science topic this week and we have been looking at rocks. The children have been amazed by just how different rocks are from each other when you start to study them in detail, and that they are not all the same. We even managed to find some rocks in our collection that had fossils in them or had been formed by volcanic eruptions!
We then thought how we could describe and classify the rocks before recording this in our books. The children wanted to stick the actual rock samples into their books but we decided that this might make the books a bit lumpy...
