Week 7 Enrichment week

This week has been our first enrichment week of the year and we have been learning about Black History and linking it to our art project.
We have had a fabulous week looking at the similarities and differences between Britain and the Caribbean and learning about Caribbean culture (including a workshop from special guest Mrs Hickingbotham, who's family are from the Caribbean). There were lots of cheers from the children when they found out that Mrs H was coming in to work with us and they loved playing the steel drums.
We also created some art this week inspired by Denzil Forrester. The children really enjoyed experimenting with different techniques and colours.
