Class 3 - Y3/4 Class News

 
Thursday was one of our favourite days of the year... World Book Day! The children all came dressed as their favourite book characters and we were amazed by the creativity the children had used to create their outfits. We really enjoyed looking at all of the costumes and guessing which characters they were and which books they came from. 

 
 
After a quick assembly we went back to class where we designed our own t-shirts based around our favourite books. 
 
  

The children loved being able to draw on the t-shirts and created some brilliant designs. It is always lovely to see how imaginative the children are with their art projects. 
 

 

In between the t-shirt making we had chance to swap our old books for new ones in the hall. There was a huge range to choose from and it was hard to pick. In the end the children made some good choices and they were all very eager to get back to class to have a chance to start reading. 

 
 
 
Thank you to everyone who helped the children to create and prepare the costumes. It can be hard work but the children loved having the chance to dress up and it really helps to encourgage them to have a more positive attitude towards reading.
