In this lesson, we will practise the rules associated with adding suffixes to make plurals. We will learn how to practise using the 'best bet' strategy and will test the words previously set to learn.

To practise and apply knowledge of suffixes: Plural, including a test (thenational.academy)

Please make sure that you watch the video carefully and then complete the activities to help you learn the spelling patterns.

After you have completed the things set on the video, please complete the next page of your handwriting book.

Don't forget to do your half an hour of daily reading and complete your AR quiz (or you could use Rading Plus for part of your time if you would like).

Science

Today we are going to do the next stage in our science, and this brings together lots of the things we have looked at so far about evaporation and condensation, as well as adding a few new ideas too. Watch the video below to begin. There are some activities to do afterwards too.

What is the water cycle? - BBC Bitesize

The best part of science is always the practical side and we have missed some of this becuase we haven't been in school. Today though we are going to have a go at making our own version of the water cycle!

Below are some instructions to make your very own water cycle! This is far more fun if you take your time to draw the pictures on carefully like the one below. You need to put the clouds in and write "precipitation" and "evaporation" on too with arrows going the correct way.

One word of advice from doing this many times before- the water is heavy and the bags can fall off the window, so make sure that the bag is well sealed and put somewhere safe so if it drops off it won't make a mess!
