Good morning Class 3.

I hope you have recovered from the Joe Wicks session. I feel exhausted and I was only drinking a cup of tea and "supervising"!

Thank you for sending me all of your lovely work too - it was amazing. I would love to start sharing some of your work again. I will begin to put some work up on the webpages over the next few days. If you are feeling a bit shy and don't want your work to go up just let me know, otherwise I'll assume you are ok with showing it.

Here is the outline for today. (As some of you are trying to juggle more than one webpage I've tried to put the key info you need at the top to make it easier.)

Maths - division (this is the piece of work I would like you to put on Teams for me please).

English - verbs and simple sentences (complete the tasks on the video and then do the first page in your handwriting books in your learning packs)

Reading - 30 mins of reading (AR if you can, please)

Forest schools - looking at and sketching a tree.

Teams call -               10:30 = yr 3        10:45 = yr 4 (Please start with your microphone on mute if you can)

Today we will carry on with our division work . We are going to have a bit more practise solving division problems. If you need a reminder for how to divide you could look at the videos we saw before - in fact having a brief re-cap would be a great way to start. I've been a bit sneaky though and put an extra digit in some questions.

Sometimes the videos mention worksheets, I haven't used these worksheets so do the ones below instead.

I have put some work sheets below for you to work through below. There are 3 sections A, B and C. Have a look at them and then decide with ones you would like to try (A is the easiest and C is the hardest, don't be afraid to challenge yourselves).

Work your answers out and then put them on Teams for me please (the question numbers are a bit strange so watch out when you fill your answers in). Because I'm not sure which column you will be doing I've given everyone all three quizzes. You only need to fill in the ones for the column you have answered though and you only need to do one column.

You can use any of the methods we have looked at so far to answer these.

Today we will continue our BFG English Unit.

In this lesson, we will recap what a verb is, define a simple sentence as a main clause that makes sense on its own and write our very own simple sentences. For this lesson, you will need an exercise book or some paper and a pencil.
Please write your answers down neatly and save them in your book.

Don't forget - please make sure you have capital letters and full stops and that your handwriting is neat and tidy.

Today we are also going to work on our handwriting. If you have a look in your packs you should have a handwriting book. Please do the first page for us as neatly as you can.

Reading

Please carry on with your AR reading again. It has been brilliant to hear how well you have done with you reading so far and you are racing through your books. If you would like your books changing then email me I'll arrange for some new ones to be left out for you.

Forest schools

Tuesdays would normally be our Forest Schools day. Guess what though! The lovely Mrs Goss has provided some things so that we can do Forest School during lockdown still. These would be especially good if you are out working in the fields or out for a walk because you could look at what is around you while you are outside.

I have included these as a pdf below in case you would like to print them off and take them with you when you go outside.

Well done for completing your tasks today and working very hard. I hope you have had a good day and I'll speak to you tomorrow.
