Hi Class 3, I hope you had a good day yesterday. Thank you for sending me pictures of what you have been doing, it is lovely to hear from you.
PE
Have a look at the lonk below. There are lots of ideas for different PE type activities that you could do at home; give one a go! There's a link to Joe Wicks or our Real PE units

Maths
Year 3
Today we are going to change slightly and look at how to make turns. It might be helpful to make yourself a little arrow to turn so you can see what is happening. You could even try turning yourself a turn at a time in a room and seeing which wall you face.
The book asks you to go anti-clockwise as well as clockwise so try to practice both before you get to the worksheets.

Year 4
Everyone is doing the same today, so Submarine group, you're with us too (hopefully you've got some squared paper left in your orange books. Your first job will be to copy the shape and then answer. Because of this I've put the sheets up without the answers first. I know you sneaky lot, you thought I'd put the answers up too didn't you!). Everyone else you have your work printed in your book.

Don't forget when you write in your book to keep it neat and tidy, and use a ruler if you have one. Symmetry like this can be very tricky. Some people can see it straight away, other people take a little longer. If you find it really tricky maybe take a little break or just do the first sheet. Remember to count the squares from the mirror line and take your time.
Sheets for Submarine group.
And now for the answers!
English
The maths might have been quite tricky today (hopefully not for you super clever people though) so I thought we'd have a bit of a relax for our English today.
This task is a mixture of writing and art. I would like you to have a look around, with a grown up, to see if you can find the following items:
- A flower;
- An animal;
- A tree;
- An unusual pebble / stone;
- A puddle; and
- A pretty leaf
See if you could take a picture or draw your items (you might even want to collect them and stick them on your work - not the animal or puddle though, I don't want to be blamed when your grown-ups are wondering why you are sellotaping water and an annoyed sheep to some paper).
Then I would like you to create a ‘Springtime’ collage (piece of artwork). Next to each picture (picture of a sheep, not a real one remember), I would like you to write a brief description of each object, for example, what it is, where you found it and why you chose it for your collage. This can be done on a piece of paper, in your workbooks or on a computer – I don’t mind.
Remember to use full, interesting and descriptive sentences and take special care with presentation and spellings. I've put some adjectives below that you might want to include, and don't forget to use your lovey, joined up hand writing too.
Afternoon tasks.
For the afternoon remember to do your daily reading and go over your spellings and then we have something different to do.
I was talking to Mr Breckon in our staff meeting yesterday (yep, we do still have staff meetings, we do it on a computer in case you wondered), and he said how much fun his class had had making bug hotels so I thought that we could have a go at making one too.
Before we begin this could be quite a big project so if you want to take a couple of days over it then feel free to. I'll put some things for those people who have finished their one to do, but if you want to carry on with your bug hotel and your grown -up is happy with that then feel free too.
I've put some instructions for you below, but really the fun of making one is using your imagination. Feel free to use your own designs and ideas, and you could search the internet with a grown up to look for ideas if you wanted.
Please make sure that you tell a grown up what you are planning to do, and please be very careful with tools, materials and lots of other dangerous things. If you cut yourself it is very tricky to put the blood back in so please be careful! Also, make sure that you have permission to use the things you are making your bug hotel from, don't go cutting up up your front room curtains because you think the ladybirds would like them in their front rooms.
Have fun, be safe, and I would love to see what you have created.
Have a great day,
Mr G
