Work for Wednesday 1st April
31 Mar 2020
Good morning Class 3!
I can't believe it is April already . Have you played any tricks on anybody this morning? I bet you are all far too well behaved to do anything like that...
9AM - Yep, you guessed right, time to get ready for the day with Joe Wicks again. Have fun jumping around.
Maths
The battle is on! We have challenged Class 4 to a "battle of the bands" in Rockstar maths. Every correct answer in any game mode wins a point for our class, and everyone's points are added together to made a grand total. Whoever has the most points by 3:30 pm on Friday will be champions.
Please help lead us to victory and spend 15 mins on Rockstar maths winning some coins for us (you are free to go on any other time too - not that I'm competitive or anything ).
In your maths packs you should have a "codebreaker challenge". Please complete this and see if you can work out what the words are.
If you have a different pack please could you do the next sheet on your place value work.
Challenge - you could make up your own maths questions and challenge someone to see if they can crack it.
English
Our next task is to work on our handwriting. Please complete the next page in your handwriting book and as always remember to take your time and make it neat and tidy.
For our longer task we are going to do a comprehension. Can you complete either the next pet care one (the answers should be included too for the grown-ups , not you sneaky children ) or instead complete the Jorvik Viking Centre, Coppergate one if you have that (I'll put the answers at the bottom of the page).
Phew, we have been busy again! Last task is some quiet reading with a book of your choice - a lovely way to end this part.
Final task for the day.
We have started to use a couple of new websites to help do PE at home. If you go to the "Sports" section of the website there are links to REAL PE and a section with Mr Whitford and some of his coaching friends in. Please have a look at these websites and then choose an activity or challenge to do. See if you can set yourself a score and then beat it. These are new websites so I'd just like you to have a look and get used to them before we use them to set work.
Please be careful though, I don't want to have to say to Mrs A that the school has a huge bill for lots of broken ornaments and windows!
Well done for getting this far and keeping up with your work! You are all super stars!
