Work for Friday 27th March
26 Mar 2020
Hi again, Class 3.
Well done for keeping up with all of your tasks this week. A huge well done to Jamie as well who has even written two of his own stories this week.
Well done to the grown-ups too and a huge thank you for helping and supporting at home.
Plan for the day...
9 am - Joe Wicks again. This is the last one for the week so we can really go for it (I'm not sure two days off will be enough for me to recover though!) Did you manage to spot that he had changed his guitar yesterday?
Maths
Please warm up by doing some Rockstar maths. Pssst , here's a secret message. I'm going to challenge the other classes to a coin battle next week so we'll get some sneaky practice in first to make sure we're ready - don't tell them

.
After that we're going to revise our multiplication. There should be a worksheet in your learning pack. As before, choose a column and work through, if you find one too easy or too hard then swap. Try to complete 10 questions and then have a go at the word problems.
As always, one digit one square and the neater your layout the easier it will be for you. Also, if you have a calculator then try and check each one as you go, it's better to correct as you go than get to end and find out then that you've made some mistake. PS -the calculators are to check, not to answer the question, not that any of you would think about doing that of course!
Please check out the pictures below to jog your memory on how we do it, and of course - always start with the ........small numbers!
English
It's the best time of the week - spelling test day! Please ask your grown-up to test you on your spellings. Good luck and hope you get them all right!
Then , can you complete 1 Reading Plus titles please. There have been a few problems with the site code - it is rpgrewe. If you click on the picture link below then it will take you to our school log in portal.
For your writing task I would like you to describe one of the scenes below and practice your descriptive writing (feel free to use your own picture if you would like). Don't forget to use some great adjectives and expanded noun phrases to make it come alive. Also , try to start your sentences in different ways (I've put a sentence starter sheet below). You'll hopefully notice that you can use these as fronted adverbials, so don't forget the comma. There are also some things you can use in the "resources for writing" section of our class pages. Don't forget to include what you can feel and smell too.
Well done for making it through your first week. I'm very proud of all of the hard work you have done and I can't wait to get back in school to see you all again. Have a great weekend and remember to say a big thank you to your grown-ups for helping you.
