Bikes!

26 Sep 2019

This week has been another busy week and we have being doing lots of exciting things again. We have looked at everything from adding up numbers to thinking about how we might wash an elephant when looking at how to write instructions (although we didn't manage to persuade Mrs Acheson to let us have a real pet elephant). wink I wonder how you would wash an elephant and what you would need? Maybe you could have a go at writing a set of instructions to show us what to do.

We also watched the cyclists come through the village and really enjoyed cheering them on. We had a great view as they rode by.

The year 4s have studied some images of what at first appeared to be Egyptian art but after a closer inspection, they thought it might be something more, and concluded it was writing. They then looked at the Egyptian hieroglyphics and practised scribing it in their art books, paying close attention to detail before using skewers and papyrus paper to write their hieroglyphic name in ink.

I wonder what this person is writing?
