Newsletter for the end of term

Nicola Todd - 21 Jul 2022

I cannot believe how quickly this year has flown ! We have throughly enjoyed having the present reception children - we shall really miss them all ! We know that they have lots to look forward to in class 2. We will look forward to welcoming the current nursery children back to class 1 in September. The colour fun afternoon was great ! The children decorated t- shirts and loved having the paint squirted at them ! The message for the afternoon was that everyone is special and that the children should all be proud of who they are .
We had another treat this week as Miss Blake brought in her racing car and talked to the children about her sport .
Class 1 were enthralled !!
The Reception children will be bringing an optional holiday activitiy booklet home .
Parents often ask for ideas for their children to do over the Summer . I think creating a Summer Scrap Book is a lovely thing to do . Children can draw pictures of things they have been up to and stick photos , tickets , leaflets etc in . Reception children can be encouraged to write a simple sentence for each entry and Nursery children can have a parent write for them .
We had a visit from the librarian at Ripon Library . The Library has had a re- vamp and is a super place to visit .
