Good Morning everyone!

Today we are going to be thinking about our families.
You can join in with as many or as few activities as you choose!
And don't worry if you can't send me your pictures -
save them for September!

Here is my family! Can you spot me?
That's Mr Hebblewhite and Ethan when he was little.

Is your family like mine?  Who is in your family?
How is it different and how is it the same?
What colour hair, skin, eyes do the people in your family have?
Can you make a picture of your family?
Here are some fun ideas......

   Good Morning everyone,
welcome to Mrs Hebblewhite's

Collective Worship

Tuesday 14th July

Our theme this week is:

Transitions
and
New Beginnings

Free Cartoon School Children, Download Free Clip Art, Free Clip ...

Transition means moving on from one thing to another.
At this time of the year a lot of us are
thinking about moving from our old class to our new.

Let's start with a hymn, all about 'transition'.
Some of you may already know this one!
It's called One More Step Along the World.

Changing classes or getting a new teacher is a bit like going on a journey or a trip. It is really exciting and there will be lots of amazing new things to see and learn and do.
We also we might feel a bit worried
. But, just like planning a trip, there are things we can do to prepare.
  • Can you think of some of things you can do, to make you feel ready to start in your new class?
Illustration of a family going on holiday Stock Photo - Alamy
  • Perhaps you could talk to our parents, brother or sister about the new school or teacher?
  • Think about your achievements in the last year, how you have grown in the year and how you are ready for a new challenge.
  • If you're going to a new school, you could even ask your parents to drive your new route to your new school.

Cramond Primary School website - Cramond Primary school - a place ...

Sometimes it makes us feel better if our new teacher knows
a bit about us before we start in our new class. As things are a bit different and we can't meet our new teacher, why not email them a letter, telling them a bit about you?
Below, is a OneDrive link to a 'School Transition Passport'.
You could ask Mum or Dad to help to
email yours to your new teacher.

Here is a story, called First Day Jitters.
Sarah is starting at a new school. She is nervous at first,
but once she is there, she realises that everybody else feels the same when they are starting something new.

I wasn't expecting THAT ending! were you?!
Everyone feels nervous, it's natural.
Usually, we look back and wonder what we
were so nervous about!

Can you think of a time when that has
happened to you?

Let's finish with a prayer.

I hope you have enjoyed today's Collective Worship. I can't wait to see you all again soon! Have a lovely Summer  and try not to worry about your new class - you have so much to look forward to in September!

Look after yourselves and each other.
Mrs Hebblewhite x
