Bonjour! C'est Madame Hebblewhite!

Below is a short clip of children saying hello and
playing football at the park.
1. Can you hear what their names are?
2. Can you join in and count the goals they score?
3. How do you say 'goal' in French?
And finally...Look what I have found!!
The French version of 'Akuna Matata' from 'The Lion King'.
Are any words the same as in English?
Class 3
How many colours can you remember? Here's a fun song to remind you. Why don't you play it again afterwards, without looking at the screen and see how many colour words you can hear and translate.
Here is a link to some French 'Colour by number' worksheets, to practise reading your colour words.

Can you remember the different ways to say 'hello' and 'goodbye' in French? Watch this short video to practise some new phrases-
'A tout a l'heure' means, 'See you later' and 'A bientot',
means 'See you soon'. Can you also find the French for:
1. Morning, afternoon, evening 2. Different ways of saying 'hello'
3. Goodnight 4. Excuse-me/sorry 5. Enjoy your meal
And finally, I thought you might like to watch the French version of the 'Akuna Matata' song from the Lion King, that I have found.
Can you find any words that are the same in English?
Class 4
Here is a short clip of some native French speakers. Watch the clip twice. The first time, watch without looking at the prompts I have written for you underneath - see what you can understand.
Now watch the clip again. Try to answer these questions:
1. Which one word means, 'Nice to meet you?'
2. How do you say, 'I am married'?
3. What is the word for, 'children'?
4. What is the word for 'architect' and 'Teacher'?
5. How do you say, 'See you soon?'
How many colours can you remember in French?
Here is a song to remind you.
Watch out! It's one that will get stuck in your head!
Click on the link below to do some colouring worksheets,
to practise reading French colour words.
Afterwards, see if you can spell some.

And finally...Here is a ten minute workout for pupils in France.
Don't worry, you don't have to do the workout to watch it! I certainly didn't! However, it might be interesting to listen to and see if you can hear the instructor mention some body part words that we have learnt: arms - les bras, legs - les jambes, feet - les pieds.
Watch out though, because French people speak very fast!
