Mandy came to visit from Swinton Estate with her beautiful owls , Button and Maisie. The childern loved meeting the owls and hearing all about them . They asked lots of questions at the end . We made owl collages , labelled the parts of an owl and chose colours carefully to draw owls. We enjoyed stories about owls and used non- fiction books and the internet to discover more.
Reception have been exploring the different ways to make 10 and Nursery have been practising counting small sets of objects accurately.
Isla showed us photographs of her new ducklings - they looked great fun !!
We have been talking about what makes Grewelthorpe Village special and such a lovely place to live and go to school . Reception made a fantastic map showing the church , duck pond , pub, cafe and park .
