RHebblewhite - 05 Feb 2021
Tuesday 9th February
Good morning everyone! We hope you all had a great start to the week.
Today's Tasks are as follows:
Phonics Reception - Practise writing 'ch' words.
Maths Reception - Sounds repeating patterns song.
Phonics Nursery - Make an Inky The Mouse finger puppet.
Maths Nursery - Sounds repeating patterns song.
Join us at 9.00a.m. this morning for a live meet, to share the story ''Whatever Next"
(Reception, you can also join in with the Phase 3 Sounds Powerpoint afterwards, if you like).
If you are unable to make it today, click on the triangle play button below, to watch the story.
Activity for Reception and Nursery
Listen to the story today. Did you enjoy it? What was your favourite part?
Imagine you had your own space rocket - where would you go? You might like to watch some of these short clips from BBC Learning Zone, to help you decide!
https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zkvv4wx/resources/2
You could find a large cardboard box and make your own space rocket, or a smaller one to send your teddy into space. What will you need to take with you? What is it like in space?
Phonics Reception
Join in with this video Powerpoint to practise our newest sounds.
We are going to practise our 'ch' digraph again today. Can you remember the action we make and the letters that make that sound? How many words can you think of that have that sound in them?
Find and complete the sheet in your Phonics pack entitled, 'Find and Write the Ch Words'.
For an additional challenge, you could robot-talk and write: chimp, chain, beech (tree), lunch, munch.
Phonics Nursery
Our new 'sound of the week' is the 'i' sound.
Here is the Inky The Mouse song for you to join in with again.
You could make an Inky The Mouse Finger Puppet.
Maths Reception
We have been looking at 'Repeating Patterns'. Watch this short video. Can you work out what comes next in each pattern? Afterwards, you could use toys to make your own ABB or ABC patterns.
Maths Nursery
Watch this short video clip. Can you tell your grown-up what comes next in the fruit pattern?
Can you make up your own fruit pattern at home? e.g. apple, banana, apple, banana.
If you want something extra to do, which is fun, I have added a fun 'GoNoodle' song for you all to join in with. There are some repeating patterns in the song. It's called 'Little Green Froggy'.
