Hello class1!!
I hope you could join me this morning to hear Cave Baby . You could listen again by clicking
here.
Nursery and Reception
You could log onto the Phonics Play website and play a game . Reception can choose a game from Phase 3 perhaps to practise the ee sound . Nursery could play a phase 1 game .
The link below takes you to the 'Phonics Play' website, which is currently free to use, with the username Jan21 and password home.
https://www.phonicsplay.co.uk/
Here is how to find your way around the Phonics Play website:
Type in the username and password above.
Scroll down the page to find the 'Buried Treasure' game and click on this (or the game of your choice).
Click on 'Start'/Phase 3 (or Phase 1 for Nursery)
Where it says 'set 1-7', click on '+ai' (or any other digraph you would like to practise).
Reception Phonics .
Find the 'ee or' sheet in your phonics pack . Look at the ee words . Draw sound buttons underneath each word. You can draw a dot with a little line underneath the ee sounds . You can practise writing the ee sound on your sheet or using your white board.

Maths Reception
Cut out the cube label from your Labels for 3D shapes sheet in your maths pack .
A cube is a name of a solid shape . We sometimes call solid shapes 3D shapes. A cube has 6 faces . Each face is a square . Each face is the same size.
If you used a cube to print with you would make a square print on your paper .
A cube has 8 corners and 12 straight edges.
Watch a little programme about cubes . Click
here . The lady talking is from America so her voice sounds a little different from ours .
Reception and Nursery Maths
Go on a cube hunt in your house . You might find some things to make a cube collection !
You might have some building blocks that are cubes . Are they good to build with ? Why ? Do they slide or roll ?
Maths Nursery
Remember to keep practising your counting !! Can you count to 10 ?
Fun Activity
Make a shaker !!
You could find a plastic empty bottle or container with a lid (pringles tube ? hot chocolate tub? ... ) and decorate it . You could choose something to put in it that might make an interesting sound when you shake it . Rice or pasta shapes are two ideas .
We can use your shaker tomorrow morning to play when we sing some songs . I would love to see them . Don't worry though if you don't have time today.
Be like Cave Baby and use a stick or something interesting you find outside to paint with .
Have fun Class 1
