Activity for Reception and Nursery
Listen to the story today. Did you enjoy it? What was your favourite part?
Can you remember what happened at the start, middle and end?
Can you make your own house for the three pigs? Here are some ideas:
Phonics Reception
Find the pairs game sheet in your pack, with the letter s and a picture of a sun at the top.
Cut out the cards and turn them over to play pairs.
When you turn over a picture card, robot-talk your word. Read and blend the word cards, to win your pair.
If you wanted to practise your writing, you could cut out the just the pictures and write your own word cards to go with them.
Today we will look at a new digraph, 'ai'.
Watch this video and join in with my short lesson.
You don't need to sign in. Just click on the triangle play button. You can pause the video throughout.
Phonics Nursery
Listen to the story 'The Three Little Pigs'. Did you enjoy it? Can you remember what happened in the story? Who was in the story? Can you draw or paint a picture of your favourite part?
Our sound of the week is 'a'. Here is the song again, for you to join in with.
Maths Reception
We are going to practise finding one more than a number up to 10.
Take out your number cards to 10 and your cubes.
Turns your cards over and spread them out.
Turn one card over. Can you say what one more than that number would be?
How might you check?
Find and complete the number 4 formation sheet in your Maths Pack. Remember to hold your pencil carefully and start your number in the right place.
Maths Nursery
Can you remember how many pigs were in our story today? Can you count to 3? Can you show three fingers?
Three is a special number, because you are 3 years old! Or your friends at school are 3 years old.
Can you look in your bedroom and find 3 pigs/teddies/cars etc..? How many groups of three things can you find and count? As you count your groups of three, touch the items one at a time, as you say each number.
Good work everyone! Enjoy the rest of your day!
