Class One
Tuesday 14th July
Today it is my Collective Worship
(scroll to the bottom of the class page)
Good Morning everyone!
Today we are going to be thinking about our families.
You can join in with as many or as few activities as you choose!
And don't worry if you can't send me your pictures -
save them for September!
Here is my family! Can you spot me?
That's Mr Hebblewhite and Ethan when he was little.
Is your family like mine? Who is in your family?
How is it different and how is it the same?
What colour hair, skin, eyes do the people in your family have?
Can you make a picture of your family?
Here are some fun ideas......
Every day at school, we learn all about our Number Friends!
They are hiding all around us! Can you spot any?
Be a 'Number Detective' and go on a number hunt around your house!
How many can you find? You might need a good detective hat to wear and a magnifying glass! Here are some clues...
I can't wait to see your detective photographs!
After all that detective work, I expect you'll need a break!
Here is a lovely story, read by Mrs Todd. It's called Stick Man.
Can you make your own Stick Man or Stick Family?
Every day at school, we learn about our Letter Friends.
Talk to your grown-up. Which sound does your name start with?
My names starts with an Mmmmmmm sound! for Mrs Hebblewhite!
Why not make a collage of the sound your name start with?
Maybe you can think of some more things in your home
that start with the same sound.
We hope that you have had a lovely morning!
Take care and see you tomorrow!

Good Morning everyone,
welcome to Mrs Hebblewhite's
Collective Worship
Tuesday 14th July
Our theme this week is:
Transitions
and
New Beginnings
Transition means moving on from one thing to another.
At this time of the year a lot of us are
thinking about moving from our old class to our new.
Let's start with a hymn, all about 'transition'.
Some of you may already know this one!
It's called One More Step Along the World.
Changing classes or getting a new teacher is a bit like going on a journey or a trip. It is really exciting and there will be lots of amazing new things to see and learn and do.
We also we might feel a bit worried. But, just like planning a trip, there are things we can do to prepare.
- Can you think of some of things you can do, to make you feel ready to start in your new class?
- Perhaps you could talk to our parents, brother or sister about the new school or teacher?
- Think about your achievements in the last year, how you have grown in the year and how you are ready for a new challenge.
- If you're going to a new school, you could even ask your parents to drive your new route to your new school.
Sometimes it makes us feel better if our new teacher knows
a bit about us before we start in our new class. As things are a bit different and we can't meet our new teacher, why not email them a letter, telling them a bit about you?
Below, is a OneDrive link to a 'School Transition Passport'.
You could ask Mum or Dad to help to
email yours to your new teacher.
I hope you have enjoyed today's Collective Worship. I can't wait to see you all again soon! Have a lovely Summer and try not to worry about your new class - you have so much to look forward to in September!
Look after yourselves and each other.
