English Reception
Draw the tree that becomes magic in the story . Remember to draw colourful leaves . Draw what yummy things you would like to appear on your magic tree .Draw yourself and a friend picking from the tree . You can write what is growing on the tree, for example ;
Jelly began to grow on the tree.
Fish and chips began to grow on the tree .
Remember your sound book , reading and tricky words .
Practise writing the letters a, c, g, q, d ( you might like to use the shaving foam idea ? see Nursery ideas below )
English Nursery
Draw a picture of the magic tree and what you would like it to grow .
Ask Daddy if he has any spare shaving foam . Put some on a baking tray or a plate and use your finger to write some letters from your name or write some fun shapes using your finger .

Write number 17.
Explore different ways to make 17 using your blocks . Can you write a number sentence or draw a picture to show some different ways ?
You might split your blocks into more than 2 groups. For example you might find out that ;
10 blocks and 5 blocks and 2 blocks make 17 blocks altogether.
You could write 10 + 5 + 2 = 17
Maths Nursery
Play with some different shaped containers in the bath . Can you pour carefully ? Can you use the words full /empty ? Which container holds the most water ?
Fun Activity
Make an instument and play a tune ! you could wrap some elastic bands around a box or put some rice or pasta in an empty drink bottle
How can you decorate it ? What will you have to do to make your instrument play ?
