Class 2 - Week 4
Mrs Field - 27 Sep 2024
This week class 2 have all worked extremely hard on our retelling of the Little Red Riding Hood story. All the children worked really hard at adding adjectives into sentences to make the stories more interesting for our readers. We built interest by using adjectives such as cunning and fierce to the wolf, and brave and strong to the woodcutter character. We also used adjectives to describe the settings. For example, the woods were described as deep, dark, gloomy and creepy to help the readers of our stories to understand that this would be a worrying place to be. Well done class 2 you tried really hard on your stories. I have added pictures of some of them, but if you want yours to be copied to take home just ask next week.
In maths the year 1's have been working on greater than, less than and equal to as well as being introduced to number lines. Year 2's have been working on place value and how tens and ones are represented in 2 digit numbers.
