Can I subtract by taking away the ones?
Now it's your turn. Choose a blue number and make it using bricks on your tens frames. Then choose a red number and subtract that number of bricks from the ones side. Can you write the subtraction number sentence? Repeat for each of the blue numbers.

Take a photo of your work and send it to me on your private channel in Teams.

Y2 Maths
I will be going over maths in our Teams meeting this morning so you may want to do Computing or English first.

Can I subtract 2-digit numbers?

Use everything you learnt yesterday to complete these questions. Copy them into your home school book.
Challenge - ring the odd one out and give a reason.

Extra challenge:

Take a photo of your work and send it to me on your private channel in Teams.

English
Can I write instructions for 'How to catch a fire giant'.
Today and Friday you are going to write the instructions for 'How to catch a fire giant'.
First look at your instructions map and tell your instructions to someone else in your family.
Next write the sub-heading 'What to do' underneath your work from yesterday.
Now start writing your instructions.

Choose your challenge:
1) Number your instructions.
2) Carefully choose your imperative verb.
3) Add reasons and detail to make your instructions interesting.

4) Use the conjunctions 'when' and 'if'.

If you don't manage to get all the instructions finished today then you can finish them off on Friday.
