The children had a busy first week back after the holidays in Class 2.
In RE, we learnt about the Easter Story. The children recounted the story in chronological order using pictures, and then described each event in words. We took the opportunity to dress up, and used drama skills to re enact the story from when Jesus arrives in Jerusalem to his ascent into Heaven. The children absolutely loved getting dressed up and really threw themselves into their parts.
In Science, we started to explore and investigate materials. There was lots of talk about how we characterise different materials through their properties and the children had lots of opportunity to use scientifc language. Then we went on a materials hunt to find the different range of materials available to us around school.
