Forest School

First Session of Forest School
We were all very excited about our first sesion of Forest School. We learnt all about keeping safe when using equipment and crossing roads. We found out about how to take care of nature and our environment and we also started our science topic about plants by planting broad beens in see through containers so that we can watch what happens to them.

Tens and Ones
In Maths the year 1s have been exploring how 2-digit numbers are made up of tens and ones.
 

 
Compass points
First we used our compasses to find out North, East, South and West in the playground then we played a game of compass point corners!

 

 
Multi Sports Trip
At the end of last half term we had a great time at Outwood School taking part in a multi sports event. There were lots of different interesting stations to do. We had to work as a team, cheer each other on and try new activities. It was a wonderful morning.
