Footprints, footprints, footprints!
What was the mystery object Mrs Hickingbotham found in the role play area?

A footprint - and it wasn't any of ours!
We decided that it must have been made by something big and heavy. Also it was probably an animal that lived on the ground and not in a tree. It had 3 toes.
It was interesting to think about what we could find out just from one footprint.

We had lots of fun making our own dinosaur footprints.

Can you match the footprint to the dinosaur?

Yes we can!

Number patterns
This week in maths we have been using the language more, less, greater and fewer to compare numbers, groups of objects and to describe number patterns. The Year 1s have been making up 1 more and 1 less stories and the Year 2s have discovered that there is a maths symbol for 'greater than' > and one for 'less than' <.

List Poems
On Tuesday we wrote our own class list poem with Mrs Todd:

Today Class 2 Feels
As happy as a dog with a waggy tail
As energetic as a frog
As funny as a clown
As sandy as a sand snake
As funny as a baby
As hot as a fire
As quick as a jet
As tall as a tree
As happy as can be!
