New teachers, new friends
It was exciting to be in a class with new children and a new teacher for some of us. We have been doing lots of work in partners and small groups to get to know each other. At break time we can play with our friends from Class 3 which has been really good.
Reading Challenge
Over the summer holidays some of us did the Library Reading Challenge and got a medal! We can't wait to find out what new reading books we have at school. We spotted the dinosaur books in the Jurasic World role play area straight away!
Capital Letters
We have been finding out all about capital letters in English and went on a 'capital letter hunt' round the classroom. Mrs Hickingbotham was amazed at how many we spotted! We have been practising correctly forming our capital letters and the year 2s have been using alphabetical order to find words in a dictionary.
