Class 2- Thursday 16th July

15 Jul 2020

                                                                 Good Morning Everyone!

I hope that you are all enjoying thinking about our next school year, as well as remembering all the brilliant things you have done during this year.   It's a very exciting time and we have lots to look forward to.
Tomorrow is the last day of school for this term!  Then it will be the holidays!!

Today's
Collective Worship is with Mrs Acheson
To join in, please find 'Collective Worship' on News page.

Yesterday, it was fun to find out about all the things that you are good at.

Today, we're going to be thinking about our friends at school.
Let's begin with a song:

Who is your special friend?  What makes a good friend?  Are you a good friend to someone?

Today's story is about friendship:

Click on the book to start

I hope you enjoyed the story.  It  reminds us that sharing special things is an important quality of being a good friend.
Do you have a good friend, who is always willing to share things with you?
Perhaps you would like to do a drawing painting or collage of the  Rainbow Fish?

Here is today's task:
The end of the school year is a time for you to say ‘Goodbye'.
Some of us will be saying goodbye to our teacher, some of us will be saying goodbye to friends who are leaving our class.

Think about the friendships you have made this year. Who is important to you and why?
If you are in Reception, what are you going to miss most about your teacher?
Year One children - some of your friends will leave Class 2 to join Class 3.  Who will you miss?
Draw around your hand on paper and then carefully cut it out.
Draw or write a
goodbye message to a friend or teacher.
On each finger, you could write the qualities that this special person has shown over the year e.g. kindness, being helpful, etc

Maybe you would like to draw a picture or do a painting of a friend or perhaps your teacher, if you are leaving their class.

Be kind and help others
In Class 2, we try hard to show kindness to others. Have you done anything to help someone else today?  Try to do a kind act for someone else. You might help with something or it might be to do something to cheer up another person.  A friendly wave and smile through the window can mean a lot to someone who is lonely.

Art and Craft

You  might also like to do a summer colouring picture or a mindfulness colouring:
