Y1 practice the letter 'y' on the 5th page of your Handwriting 2 booklet. It should say 'Short ladder letters' at the top of the page.
Y2 practice the letter 'y' and the word 'they' on the first page of Handwriting 6. You can also complete the words at the bottom 'the cat can dig'. Is that a sentence? What is missing? Can you correct it so that it is correctly punctuated?

Y2 The wolf said he had joined a wolf circus to learn to walk. When you have finished your PurpleMash activity I want you to think about what else might happen at wolf circus? Now choose activity 1) or 2):
1) Draw one or more pictures of the wolf learning to walk. Label the pictures, or write some sentences to describe what is happening.
2)
Draw one or more pictures of your ideas for wolf circus. Label the picture, or write some sentences to tell me more about wolf circus.
Optional challenge Y1: Draw and label a picture of a Wolf Circus.

Here are some clocks showing times for this morning. They don't seem to be in the correct order. You could print the clocks out at cut them up or write the times on 4 small pieces of paper. Use your home made clocks to help you put them in order. Stick them into your Journal and draw a picture to tell me what you did this morning at each time.

The pages in your book today are 131 and 132. The clocks are a bit small in your books so you could copy the times using your clock first to help.

Phonics/Spelling
Practice your spellings using the 'Look, Say, Cover, Write, Check' method using your spelling sheets.
If you have time log onto WordShark. I have set this weeks spellings so you need click on the 'My Set Work' tab at the top of the screen.
Year 2
Yesterday you made your own spelling list. Practice your spellings using the 'Look, Say, Cover, Write, Check' method using your spelling sheets. Remember to use joined up handwriting and think about how it feels to write each word. Sometimes the way the word feels as you write it can help you remember how to spell it.
Log onto WordShark. I have not set any work on Wordshark so just play the games and you will be practicing the words that the computer has set as your target words to practice.
Reading
Y1 & Y2 Read a few pages from your school book. Then quiet reading for 20 mins - you can carry on reading your school book, or choose a book you have at home. Think about a quiet place you could go to read. Maybe outside?
