Hello

30 Mar 2020

Dear Parents/Carers,

Thank you so much for all your support during this period which has seen the unprecedented closure of schools. Well done for surviving Week 1!

I am so proud of all of our children and have enjoyed hearing about and seeing examples of what you have been doing at home.

Mother nature blessed us with some lovely sunshine last week so hopefully you all took the opportunity to get some fresh air. I have now spoken to many families to check that you are all ok and if you need anything else from us. I will continue these calls this week but feel free to email me directly (headteacher@gfschools.co.uk) or ring the school office (01765 658287) if you have any questions or need support.

If you would like to contact your child’s teacher or would like to send examples of their work then please email using the addresses below:
office@gfschools.co.uk  (Fountains)
admin@gfschools.co.uk (Grewelthorpe)
headteacher@gfschools.co.uk

This is a very new situation for all of us. It is not something we have been able to prepare for and we are learning how to best support you and your children. We also appreciate that depending on your own family circumstances and work commitments, how you plan and manage your day will be different for each family. Hopefully we will have prepared enough work to practise and revisit learning but we accept that some days you won’t complete it all. It is important that we keep communication open and regular so please do encourage your children to send a message to their teachers when completing work on Purple Mash or email examples of their work. Please do let me know how you are getting on and if there is anything you need from us.

Take care and stay safe,

Pam Acheson
