A Play In A Day - Thursday 3rd March

18 Feb 2022

A Play in a Day

Thursday 3rd March

To celebrate World Book Day this year, we have organised for a company called Bigfoot arts education to come and work with us for the day.

During the course of the day, each class with take part in their own workshop which works towards producing a play of George’s Marvelous Medicine. It’s an excellent opportunity for the whole school to enjoy a group storytelling experience by exploring a variety of characters, locations and plots to create a unique piece of devised theatre…in just one day!

Each workshop will be responsible for physically creating the beginning, middle or end of the overall story. All classes will be invited back together at the end of the day to enjoy a playback of the entire story which will be brought together by the Bigfoot facilitator.

We hope that you agree that this is a wonderful activity for the children to take part in.

We are asking for a voluntary contribution of £2.50 per child to go towards the cost of the workshops. This will be posted on ParentPay

Thank you for your support.

As well as the workshop the children are invited to come to school dressed as their favourite book character on Thursday 3rd March.
The children will also be having a special World Book Day lunch.
(the menu was sent out earlier in the month)
