Fountains 10K

Before we break up for the summer holidays I thought I’d update you all with the final total for the 10k.
Considering it was the first year back after a 3 year break, numbers were about 150 in the main race and 70ish in the fun run, usually we have more than 400 runners in the main race!
But even with low numbers we have managed to raise a total of £4290.38 after expenses have been paid!
We received a total of £2100 from cash sponsors so half of this profit we have come out with is down to our fantastic sponsors!
We managed to sell just over £1000 worth of raffle tickets and I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Emma Terry, Emma Sharp and Kelly Musgrave for all their help with getting sponsors and raffle prizes. With everyone tightening their budgets it’s been quite the challenge being able to secure raffle prizes and sponsorship from companies.
Special mention to Hannah Kitching who organised us all on the day and getting all the marshals signed up and where they should be, it’s a huge task! And to Leanne Fox who kept us all right with keeping records and paying of all the finances!
Not forgetting the amazing goodie bags organised by Emma Sharp, they looked great and think the runners were happy with them!
Last but not least, to anyone who helped volunteer on the day or marshal, without you we couldn’t run the event so thank you so much!
We have a date set for next year which is Sunday 21st June and I already have 2 running clubs who have said that they are going to put the Fountains 10k into their championship so hopefully this means we can grow the race and have better numbers
