School Trip: 9th February
25 Jan 2023
Thank-you to all parents who have completed the consent form and paid for this trip.
Please can all parents of children in Class 2,3 and 4 do this as soon as possible.
The consents are all through Parent Pay as we are trying to move away from paper copies, however, paper copies can be obtained from the office if this is easier- unfortunately if we do not receive a consent your child will not be able to go on the trip.
Many thanks
Class 2, 3 and 4 Trip to the Bradford Synagogue and the National Science and Media Museum
This year we are learning about Judaism as our World Faith of the Year.
In order to enhance this learning we have planned a trip for Class 2, Class 3 and Class 4 to the Bradford Synagogue and the National Science and Media Museum on the 9th of February.
This visit to the Jewish Synagogue is intergral to support the learning we have been doing and will be doing in school. As part of our RE curriculum, we are determined that our children understand themselves, one another, and the world in which they live; we feel that learning about other religions is a key way to do this.
Whilst we are in Bradford, we will also be visitng the National Science and Media Museum where there are a huge number of galleries and exhibits to explore.
The trip has been heavily subsidised by FROGS and we thank them for supporting the children's learning in this way. Due to this generous contribution the cost of the trip will be £6.
Date: 9th of February
Time: Please ensure youchild arrives promptly. We will be leaving at 9am and back in time for usual pick-up.
Lunch: Please provide your child with a packed lunch. If you would like the school to provide one, please let the office know by the 3rd of February and let us know which sandwich choice (tuna/ cheese/ ham)
Cost: £6 payable through Parent Pay by the 9th of Feb
Consents: Through Parent Pay- unfortunately without a completed consent your child will not be able to go on the trip.
To wear: School uniform, appropriate black footwear and a coat. The boys will have to cover their heads whilst inside the synagogue so please can all boys bring a hat (a cap or woolly hat), the boys should also wear long trousers.
We hope that this will be a really interesting and enlightening day for our children.
Thank you as ever for your support.
Any questions please contact the school office or Mrs Barker.
