Staffing Update
12 May 2022
During the next couple of weeks, we hope to share with you our plans for the new academic year. Governors are passionate about developing and strengthening our Federation. Over the past two years, Covid has changed what we have been able to do in school and restrictions have impacted on face-to-face communication and events in school. Schools now have no restrictions and leaders at all levels within school have ambitious plans to further develop our school and curriculum.
The Governors have reviewed the structure of our leadership model and we are in a fortunate position to be able to appoint a Deputy Head for the Federation. This will strengthen our capacity to drive school improvement and support subject leaders to develop and implement an exciting and challenging curriculum.
Mrs Barker has successfully been appointed to the role which will start in September. I am sure you will join me in congratulating her on the promotion.
This new post does not have a teaching commitment in the academic year 2022-2023 so we are looking to recruit a new member of staff to fill the Year 5/6 teaching post at Fountains and we will keep you informed on the outcome of this process. We will ensure that the children have opportunities to meet their new teacher in the summer term.
