School Closure
04 Jan 2021
Good evening,
Boris Johnson has made an announcement tonight which has placed England in a National lockdown from this evening until at least mid-February. As a result schools are now closed for the majority of children.
The class pages on the website already have activities on the Home Learning pages which the children can do over the next couple of days. Due to the short notice of this announcement, this will allow staff the time to organise the remote learning and ensure that you all have the information and resources you need at home.
We already have a list of our key worker families however if you are on our list and will need to send your child to school can you please email me as soon as possible (headteacher@gfschools.co.uk) so that I can organise a staff rota and timetable of provision for those children. Can you please confirm what your key worker role is and what days and sessions your children will need to attend.
There will be no breakfast club provision during lockdown. Once I have all the numbers and have organised a timetable, I will be able to confirm more details about how we will manage the coming weeks.
This is a very difficult time for everyone but school will continue to support you and the children with their learning. Further details will be sent out tomorrow.
Kind regards,
Pam Acheson
