Parents using emergency childcare provision
22 Mar 2020
As you are all already aware, the Government have asked parents to keep their children at home, wherever possible and asked schools to remain
open only for those children who absolutely need to attend.
The Government have stressed that it is important that schools remain
safe places for children. The fewer children making the journey to school, and the fewer children in educational settings, the lower the risk that the virus can spread and infect vulnerable individuals in wider society.
It will be important that we all follow the
social distancing rule of 2 metres. Can I therefore ask that all parents bring their children into the school playground. A member of staff will open the doors at 8:45 to let the children enter the building. At the end of the day, can parents please wait on the playground. The children will be escorted to the front door by a member of staff and will let them go when they see their adult. If you are dropping off/picking up at an alternative time, please ring the door bell and then wait on the playground and a member of staff will bring your child to the main entrance.
I will be sending home a letter with the children asking you to select the days and times you require this provision for the next two weeks and also during the Easter holiday so that I can plan a rota to ensure that I do not bring more staff than is absolutely necessary into the buiding to minimise risk.
Thank you for your co-operation and support.
