Good morning class four

We're continuing with subtraction so if you're year 5 then download this document
-subtraction - 3missing digits.pdf-  and print just the first page. Think carefully about the numbers involved. If you have 5 - __ = 8 then you'd know that that 5 must have had to exchange a ten from the previous column in order to takeaway the number as you can't have 5 and take something away and get 8!

Year 6 download this

In English, we're planning to write a short mystery story in the style of the books we've been reading. For year 6, you may remember some of the stories form last year, the Hook, Room for one more etc.

It needs to begin in an atmospheric place with a detailed description which leaves the character in a vulnerable position. The character needs to do something which might be a bit reckless or something strange occurs to them. This strange thing doesn't go away and continue to get worse. How does your character react? What happens next. Finally, how does your story end?
This video link follows that same pattern. Warning, it is a bit spooky.

  -Grewelthorpe ordinance survey map.pdf-

Then draw a table with phyiscal features on one side and human features on the other. Find examples of OS symbols which come under each group. Human features means made by humans - wouldn't be there if humans weren't around. Physical would be natural features E.G rivers and forests. Some, you could argue, can come under both
